I am desperately trying to figure out exactly what
the "black metal" parts are on a Graflex Film Pack
Adapter. I am not sure exactly what model this piece
belongs to. It seems to be made of metal, wood and
leather.
My expertise lies mainly in jewelry, so my first guess
was nickel plate, but I am not positive. I was told
that the components were fashioned of brass and plated
with silver and then...."finished with some kind of
black finish". Well, the only finish I could think of,
that made any sort of sense, was nickel. How can I
find out what the original finish is?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
