called Liver of Sulfur will eventually produce a black patina (it
will go from blue thru purple to black). It is available in jewelry
supply catalogs like Rio Grande. The black on the piece I have now
is kind of a warm, green-ish black. It's so hard to tell since I'm
trying to determine this from a used piece. Anyway, I will try some
tests. Thanks for the info!
