I am used to rail cameras but I bought a
4x5 Graflex Crown Graphic Special because
it seems more my size. It is in beautiful
condition, and everything seems to work
but a few things are mystifying me.
First, the serial # is 973933:
can anyone tell me the year of
manufacture?
Second,I read all the postings about top
rangefinders with the little red button
and got the lights to go on with a little
playing, but I still don't understand how
to focus with it.
Third, what do you do with the little
pop up circle above the ground glass that
hides below the rangefinder?
And fourth, my camera came with a complete
flash unit and bulbs but I am 22 years old
and it is so far before my time that
I don't know how to put it together and
work it. (My parents are getting a good
laugh about this, but they don't know
enough about cameras to explain what
you do with it and I was raised on
electronic units.) Could someone please
help?
Any answers to the above would be greatly
appriciated.
