No, I don't have the Focuspot attached. Not sure I understand exactly what you mean when you say "plugs straight into something, instead of ending at a right angle plug". The bipost end of this cord ends at a right angle if that means anything. Side view looks something like the letter F. So I'm assuming then, that bipost are pretty close to around 1/4" apart? Also, can you go from the bipost on the lens straight to your studio lights?

: I bet that cord is for a Focuspot, the little light which attaches to the top of your rangefinder and, when plugged in and activated, shines through the rangefinder to project 2 images. When those images meet on a subject, you are focused on it. I've never thought to check the dimensions of those posts before. If your cord plugs straight into something, instead of ending at a right angle plug, then most likely that's what you have. Of course, the question then is whether you have a focuspot attached? It might have been removed before you got it.
