Hello!

The Speedgraphics Aniversary 3x4 is now almost ready to shot. (Finally got 2 cutfilmholders.)
But it has a little defect that is annoying me: The metal ornament of the camera body/box on the left side has come out of the wood and now every time it gets catched by something (clothes, etc.) it comes more and more out and bends more.

Can I remove this metal part and bend it to its original form or should I simply put some epoxy and glue it back althought it would be staying under pression. (It is a bit like a spring now.)
How are these metal ornaments fixed from factory in the wood?

Hope it is clear what I try to explain.

Eugen

There are two listings on ebay for the metal trim for 4x5s. It appears to come off in several sections that inter connect. The curved sections for the focus knobs appear to have a brad or screw holding them in place on the inside of the camera box.

The service manual does not show the trim separate from the body. If you remove the bent section reform it to as near original shape as possible then see if you can reattach it, then glue it if it will not stay in place.

The question is how to remove it.
If I understand you correctly I should look for a screw beneath the curvature for the fingers (respectively where the focus knob sits when the camera box is closed).
On mine the part going down from this curvature is bent.

Do you have by any chance the auction numbers for the trims? I can't find them. Maybe the pictures there show me how to remove mine from the body.
