A collector friend showed me his exceptionally nice Pre-Annie, fitted with a Leitz short base rangefinder (uncoupled, of course). This is evidently an infrequently seen factory option for the period. The RF mounting hardware on the camera is painted gray, matching the rest of the camera fittings. The camera also has a Graflex leather case, which has a gray metal mounting bracket fitted to it for the storage of the RF off the camera.
I have photos; how do I put them here?

you put them up on your server and send us links. Or send them to me and I'll put them up.
And alas, the rangefinder usually sells for more than the camera. _________________ "In order to invent, you need a good imagination and a lot of junk" Thomas Edison

One of mine has the bracket on it. Always wondered what that thing was for. Probably don't count for much, though. _________________ Glenn
