45PS - thank you!

I found it after your navigation.

A question - how do you the side covers for the Century Graphic? There are two knurled expansion gaps for the racking knob to fit.

Henry - the rubberised velcro is all the trend in Europe. I found these in an island store selling sports equipment. The replacement straps in the above link were too expensive.

Incidentally, the load strain that the Turbo Strap can hold is very satisfying - I gather these had some other purpose than substitution for vintage cameras, but it really works and is so comfortable to handhold - perfect hand-grip fit for the Century Graphic. The size of the strap is more adjustable for individual hands due to the velcro sealing too.

You can order a bright red strap for your Century Graphic if it has red bellows to match, or fuchsia, fluorescent yellow, lime green and so on. One colour for each day of the week.

It's a great way to rejuvenate a classic

R_J, I assume you are referring to the cutouts in the side covers that go around the focusing knobs. When you fit the new covering to the camera, you do not do so directly. After you remove the old covering, you make paper or thin cardstock patterns that fit the camera body. Then you transfer the pattern to the covering material, carefully cutting it out with a fine knife such as an Xacto with a No. 11 blade. Work carefully and you can cut the semi-circular cutouts without too much effort. Make the cuts using light, repeated pressure and do not try to cut the material in only one pass. Take your time and you will get a good fit.

BTW, does your camera have a RF? If it does, the RF will have to be removed to replace the covering on the right side of the camera.

Thanks -

suddenly this is starting to feel labour intensive.

I've never undertaken a re-covering project from scratch like this. It sounds like the only option (other than spray painting the Graflex or enamel-spray painting it all). It sounds like an opportunity to update the wafer thin strip of cover.

Would the front fixtures require dismantling in order to get a close fit around the front of the drop-down baseboard?

My Century Graflex is a simple model - no rangefinder and almost no nothing else with it
