Dear Graflex Gang,

Thanks to all of your recommendations for the Century Graphic, I picked one up at the local Spring camera fair 2 weeks ago (In Woodbridge Ontario). It’s a very fine looking camera that came with a 6x9 roll back, Kalart rangefinder and a 105mm f4.5 Schneider Xenar lens. The ground glass is also present but not the metal collapsible hood. So my question is where can I get one? I realize it is troublesome to use but I prefer to have one on in order to protect the ground glass. Other than Ebay, can anyone suggest some camera stores that carry Graflex cameras and accessories?

I wish!! Looks like you are SOL on this one. I've never seen a Century hood (separate from the camera) at any trade shows in my area. My advice would be (1) go to trade shows anyway and hope for the best, you may luck out; (2) visit all the camera shops in your area and ask around (lucky you, you can even take the trolleys in your town!); (3) keep your eye on the 'bay, something may turn up. BTW, the hood from a 2x3 Crown should fit your Century. Good luck!

For those of you who are looking for a 2x3 folding hood, Midwest Photo Exchange has them for $35 and Ken-Mar Cameras also has one for $79.00.
