Please don't be upset - Dan didn't mean any offence; you'll appreciate that regular Graflex camera users get a lot of one questions.
I find internet search engines very taxing! Although this reply is late and probably redundant for your purpose of getting a 2x3 for your daughter, here's a pointer for the advantages of the 2x3 film format in this thread:

Perhaps the 2x3 cut-film format is a lot more effort overall than 120 roll film convenience. The advantages are there, but the trade off (inconvenience) is so great, it's taken me a long time to switch over to 2x3" cut-film format...
