| I have a Graflex Speed Graphic camera. the serial # is 393666 and it is model 2C. Could someone help me and tell me if this is a 4 x 5 format camera. Someone told me it is a 3.5 x 4.5 format. Please help! |

Sounds like you posted the lens serial number not the camera serial number. To determine the format size open the focus hood on the back of the camera and measure the ground glass. If no back as in a Graflex SLR then measure the opening for the film. Once you do that go to the main page and READ the Camera sections first two sub headings to determine what camera you have then the Technical Information section for more valuable information.

They never made a 3.5 x4.5. But they did make a 3 1/4 x 4 1/4.
The easiest telltale sign is to look at the front of the camera where the lens fits on.
If there are two sliders (top and bottom) to remove the lens and each of these has an arched section cut out, then it's a 3x4
If there is only one slider on top and a rail on the bottom, then it's a 4x5.
The 2C is the model of the Hugo Meyer rangefinder, not the camera itself
