I am brand new here and I hope someone can help me. I have a CG Special with the top rangefinder. The batteries were in bad shape, I carefully removed the top and everything looks good except the batteries and contacts.

But, when I slowly lifted the top off the rangefinder a part hit the tabletop. It looks like a small leaf spring. I'll add a picture if possible.

I have looked over the repair manual and I don't see the part in the diagrams. If it's there, please reference it and I'll look to the manual for further help.
