I just picked up a Speed Graphic, body only, without a lensboard. It seems to be an older version - sorry, I can't find a serial number on it. It doesn't have a body release and the release for the focal plane shutter is that kind of v-shaped one, not the up-and-down lever-type one. (Sorry if that makes no sense.) The front standard has one sliding lensboard lock (on top) and, as far as I can measure it, seems to take a 4-inch square board. Lensboards from my top RF 4x5 Crown wont fit it. Does anyone know what kind of board this takes? I've seen 4-inch square lensboards for Graphic Views on eBay - would one of those fit this?
Thanks to all for making this forum a great info source. |

Antjam65--This one takes a wooden board most likely---you can make one for about a dollar, or you can buy one for $10 and up! I have drawings if you want to make one!

Hi Bert,
My wife and I made a lensboard following your plans and it works great!
Thanks a lot - you were a big help.
Best,
