I've seen it attached inside, as well as attached to the outside. Most of the catalogues show the Press with the lens door open, so, of course, they aren't any help. |
| bertsaunders Joined: 20 May 2001 Posts: 577 | Posted: Fri Jan 23, 2009 12:38 am Post subject: PRESS LENS DOOR CAMZ, THE PHOTO IN THE PAINE CATALOG SHOWS AN EARLY MODEL (APPROX 1907) WHICH SHOWS THE ENTIRE FRONT OPEN "TO FACILITATE REMOVAL OF MOUNTED LENS" APPEARS TO ME THAT THE DOOR WOULD HAVE TO HAVE BEEN MOUNTED ON THE OUTSIDE ON THIS ONE! I HAVE (2) PRESS CAMERAS BOTH FROM Approx 1915, DOORS ON BOTH HINGED ON THE OUTSIDE! HAVE A NICE DAY......BERT |
