| sobahguy Joined: 09 Oct 2001 Posts: 173 | Posted: Mon Sep 15, 2003 7:02 pm Hi Newbie, If by "protective filter" you mean it has a series VI filter in front of the lens elements, then you can very carefully turn the large outer ribbed hood counter-clockwise and it should unscrew, thus allowing access to the filter slot. This is the same ribbed hood/ring which, when turned clockwise, normally would cock the shutter. Hope this helps. |
