"I can't say that I disagree with (Gene), and from where I sit, he was just commenting on your policies. Boy, did you jump all over him!"

First off his comments were neither informative nor instructive, they were inflamatory. Had he been more of a reporter than an editor and asked, "Hey how come there's such a problem with profanity earlier on this site?" He would have gotten a very informative answer. But he chose to show his flare for broad generalizations, and his bias against blue haired old ladies.

From what I could tell, this was his first post and basically said, "I think YOU PEOPLE are bunch of thin-skinned wimps and I don't like your site!"

I took his remarks to be inflamatory or as you put it, being jumped on. I defended myself. Nothing more.
I then pointed out how he was wrong, why the profanity filter is there, and what made it necessary, not because I was 'Holier than thou', but because he was way off base.

I, along with others, then invited Gene to join in on this post withing the framework and the subject at hand--Graflex and large format cameras. Yes there is censorship, but it is logical, reasonable and it's no worse than the censorship inflicted on you by your mother.
I would expect a post about censorship in general, politics or even Leica cameras to be off target for this post and therefore removed.
The software has been fixed and we can now cock a shutter, and deal with brass & glass. Your post is the first to try to talk about s c r e w mount lenses, and since large format cameras don't use them, it's not really a problem.

If you have a question, comment, solurion to a problem or revelation about Graflex Inc. or Graflex cameras, please post it, you'll find we are a friendly and knowledgable crowd.
