The rangefinder (side mounted, Kalart, w/Focuspot) on
my Speed is just a little bit off... enough to bugger
up my work low f. stops... and I would like to fix it.
Love the ground glass but I can't seem to master the
trick of holding up fifteen pounds of mahogany and
flash batteries, getting a sharp image, closing the
hood, stuffing the holder in, and transitioning to the
viewfinder without moving the camera enough to change
the focusing. Does anyone know where to find
instructions on this operation, or is it a simple
enough operation that you could just tell me what to
do?

Also wondering about the Focuspot. Will my current
two-cell Graflite Jr. put out enough current to power
it, or do I need to drop three bills on a (rhymes with "bite-flavor) handle to make it work? (hey, I know. I'll leave a
message asking some sucker to sell me one for $30, even
though they're worth $300 and then I'll sell it to some
Star Bores nut for a handy profit!)

Will a four-cell gun work with the Focuspot, or will it
blow out the bulb?

On an unrelated note, don't y'all think it's time some
of us got a machine shop going and started
manufacturing counterfeit Graflite three-cells? There's definitely money it it. :)
