: I picked up this camera 20 years ago because it looked
: unusual. According to the plates on it, it was made
: for the US Army Signal Corps by Graflex, Inc. of
: Rochester N.Y. It is a type PH-385-E and appears to
: use 500' rolls of 35mm to shoot half or full frames.
: It is a little bit dirty but fully functional and all
: original including the mirror on the front. Can anyone
: provide any additional info?
Photorecord cameras were used in a variety of different ways. One
was with an Employer ID outfit to make photo badges. Another was to
copy either near flat objects (painting) and photos. A third
version was used to microfilm books and magazines.
