As far as I know, "Pacemaker" was a name given to the middle models
of the 4x5 Speed and Crown Graphic. The earlier model was the
"Anniversary" and the last were the "Super Graphic". The Speed
Graphic has the focal plane shutter and the Crown does not.

The flashguns were the Graflex, which was a 3 "D" cell handle with
the electrical shutter trip switch and 5 household AC type sockets.
The Graflite was a 2 "D" cell handle and could come with or without
the electrical shutter trip switch, as it was quite common for the
shutters by that time (mid 50's) to have their own flash sync contacts.

The early Graflex flash guns were chromed and latter were satin finish
aluminum. I have only seen Graflite flash guns in satin aluminum finish.
There were also accessory add on tubes for the flash gun that would add
one "D" cell per added tube, to fire multiple flash heads (flashbulbs).

: Someone dropped this name at me the other day, wen I
: was inquiring about a post war Graflex flashgun.

: Is "pacemaker" the general style of flashguns in both
: Graflex & Graflite?

: Are all of these aluminum or were some of them chrome
: like the earlier models?

: Just wondering,

: Thanks!
