I am assuming this is a Graphic (top) rangefinder on a Crown or Speed Graphic.
The factory service manual: http://www.southbristolviews.com/pics/Graphic/manual-pdf/servicemanual.pdf

Is this item #15 spring, parallax lever, or item #37 Spring, see parts list?
PDF page 4.
Parts list PDF Page 28, item 36 - Spring, cam retaining.

Item 37 (36) one end against the body with the other inline with the cam slot in the tube on the back side of the tube. Likely the flat end against the case.

I don't use one drive so I cannot open your second post link. I don't sing in to my computer with a windows account either.

Actually, its item 37 PDF page 4/item 36 PDF page 28. It holds the cam follower arm [arm - rangefinder] (pdf page 26, item 10) against the cam via the inner parallax actuator [lever] (pdf page 26 item 13).

The photo shows the correct assembly. That should be an easy to make spring if it breaks.
