Does anyone have a recommendation for shutter stays material?
I haven't found anything thin enough and easy to manipulate and yet still rigid.

The factory originals are Copper. The measurement is in this thread:
https://graflex.org/helpboard/viewtopic.php?t=6445
Copper .009 inch thick, .082 inch wide when folded over.
The aperture stays are the same for all Graflex shutters, only the length changes for the format.

Thanks for the info. I'm trying to source copper in just that thickness. Any tips on folding the metal so the stays are straight and even?

Wood workers vise with jaws at least as wide as the curtain you are making the stays for.

Cut some oak board to fit the jaws and attach it with screws.

Clamp the copper strips between two pieces of hardwood for forming.

Thanks! Ill give your method a try. I couldn't find .009, but found .01. Hopefully that won't be a problem.
