Cut a strip of .007 copper .244 high and 5.378 long for each stay blank.
Mark the center, .122 and cut on the center line .110 on the left and .116 on the right then fold these sections up 90°.
Cut inward along the centerline an additional .184 on each side then cut downward 90° so that a 4.784 x .122 strip is centered on the 5.152 x .122 section with the .110 and .116 upward tangs.
Fold the 4.784 x .122 section 90° to 120° upward. Put the .110 and .116 tangs through the lens side of the curtain and fold inward toward the center of the curtain. Fold the 4.784 section onto the curtain crimping the curtain between it and the 5.152 section. A vise with smooth jaws, smooth duckbill pliers or the smooth section of needle nose pliers can be used to crimp the stay. Hammering it with flat bar may cut the curtain.

All measurements in inch. Underline on left of 4.784 line is compensation for site auto formatting distortion.
