hey peter
there are two shutter #! fully synchronized #2 (X) BUT they work the same

For convenice in opening the shutter for ground glass focusing, the Press Focus Lever at the right side (just up from the flash pluge) of the shutter may be use. Cock the shutter in the normal way & depress the Press Focus Liver in until the shutteris opened. To close the blades agean, by moving the Press Focus Liver Outward & upward. DOIZ NOT TRIP IT TO CLOSE THE BLADES

if this don't its time to do some Cleaning
flush it out with liter flud & blowdry

Lighter fluid destroys plastic and rubber parts used in some shutters.
The Graphex shutters use plastic and rubber insulators in the flash sync.

I, as well as many others CLA (clean, lube, adjust) these shutters.

If you want to try it yourself follow

Graphex X shutters will have a simpler flash sync than the one in the service manual.
