Hello:
I have an opportunity to buy a nice Pacemaker Speed, 127mm Ektar. It has two problems that I need advice on:
a. The optical eyepiece is missing its rear lens. Can the optical finder be replaced?
b. The Kalart rangefinder is not working - i.e. the rangefinder actuator arm is moving with focusing, but no images inside the rangefinder appear to be moving. Can the Karlart be repaired or easily replaced?
Thanks for help,

1. Yes it can be repaired if you can find the parts; complete optical viewfinders show up on ebay regularly. The optical view finder when working properly is not that good so you might want to just skip fixing/replacing it and remove it completely.
2. The common problem with no image moving in the Kalart is the transparent mirror has lost its silver. 50% transmission mirror is available from edmund scientific and is easy to replace. This subject has been covered many times on the help board. 2 articles under the Technical Information heading on the home page:
Fixing bad mirrors in rangefinders and Adjusting your Kalart rangefinder.
