I have been looking through some websites expounding the virtues and problems of the Kodak Aero Ektar 7inch f2.5 lens and noticed that some are reported as having a yellow spot. Can anyone tell me what this yellow spot means?
Thanks in advance

I think there are yellow dots and yellow and blue dots. both designate a type of coating on the lens, exactly what the difference is between a no dot yellow dot and yellow/blue dot lens I don't know and I doubt that after 50 to 60 years you'll be able to tell the difference. _________________ "In order to invent, you need a good imagination and a lot of junk" Thomas Edison |

All my military Graflexes (8 cameras, 5 different versions) have yellow spot lenses, in Supermatic and Graphex shutters. Could just be specially made lenses for the military?
Cheers,

I should also mention that not one of my 11 'civilian' Graphics has a yellow spot lens. The military cameras in the previous post are all Graphics as well, not to be confused with SLR Graflexes.
