Hello! Looking to purchase a Battery & Manual for my Crown Graflex 4x5 Heiland Strobonar strobe. The battery should have five female slots to attach to the five male pins on my Heiland Strobonar head cable cord. The Heiland Strobonar is a filament type not a bulb. Can you help locate these items?

It would help if you told us the Model Number of that Strobonar.
Also are you sure that it is a Heiland Strobonar? I do not recall ever seeing any Strobonar that was not a Honeywell unit.
The Honeywell Strobonars that I'm familiar with use four "sub C" Nicad cells in a battery tray in the head of the unit.

Heiland made the original Strobonars. I have one. It has a very heavy power supply carried on the shoulder and has two 2-volt wet cells...an auto-radio-type vibrator...high voltage transformer.. two 450-mfd caps and several relays. They were made in Denver. Honeywell later bought this Heiland operation. I had mine working some time ago but haven't checked it out lately. |

Hello clnfrd!
Good to here from you... I am interested. Could you send a image of the unit & what is the weight of the unit? What is the condition of the item and is it in working order?
You can send a private email and or send email the same way you did this time.
Thanks!

I wasn't making a pitch to sell this Heiland Strobonar II I have...just offering to provide info. Do you know which model Strobonar head you have? Only the very earliest Strobonars used this 12-pound power supply like I have...the I, Ia, II (Built for the government), III and IV. The Model V went to a battery pack using two 225-volt dry-cell batteries. You stated your head has a cord with 5 pins. The one I have has many more pins than that.
