The ring one uses to set the distance on the optical view finder is loose on my recently purchased 4x5 Pacemaker Speed.
I suspect there are originally two small screws to keep it in place?

I would appreciate if someone could tell me how it is originally attached, and how to reinstall the small lens (with the little pin @ 1 o'clock or @ 7 o'clock?).

Ah yes, one more question: how do I know if I have the correct mask for the 135 mm lens?

Cheers, Jan

Small screws are discussed here.

Number 4 mask, number found on the backside of the mask.

Without taking my 2x3 optical finder apart, the larger part of the eccentric is at the 1:00 o'clock position at infinity. I don't think that is has been fooled with.

Others may be able to offer more help.

A short while back I did a little measuring and posted the results in this thread: http://graflex.org/helpboard/viewtopic.php?t=4861
I have not heard back from anyone as to the accuracy of the thread pitch I calculated.
The colloar with the lens goes on so that when turned fully counterclockwise (infinity) a set/retaining screw is at the 11:58 position and when turned fully clockwise (5.8 feet) the other retainer screw is at the 1 o'clock position.

The mask table is posted in two or three places on this site:
http://www.graflex.org/speed-graphic/viewfinder-masks.html
is one of them.

Thanks, that's very helpful! I'll see if I can get the right screws here in metrical Europe, or improvise something with little pins and 'superglue'.

Cheers, Jan
