Hello folks,

I´m a new member from Germany, new to Graflex, but not new to collecting and using cameras... I finally managed to get a 4x5 Anniversary SG (at least I think it is an Anny) and have some questions: where can I fint the serial? I turned the camera over and over, but can´t find anything. It is an all black camera with side-mounted Kalart-rf and all I can find is a little "Graflex" sign right under the bed release knob. I can´t date it with the help of the lens, cause I got four 127mm Optars with several shutters in bits and pieces....is it possible to get at least one of them back together working, or should I look for a replacement? I do need some parts also...the tubular vf´s rear lens is missing, the front lens shattered....lots of work, eh? But the shutter works and seems to be without pinholes or such....

Please help me get my Anny back in service!

Thanks for looking,

Philipp

Anniversary Speed Graphics were the only ones to be all black, WWII military issue.

Open the bed. Turn the camera upside down. Look at the bottom of the cmaera top to find the six digit serial number ink stamped on the wood.

Hopefully you have the correct lens cell pairs identified if not that may take a big effort to figure out. If the front and rear element groups have serial number then that will be easy. Now, what shutters are there?
You can dowload a Anniversary Speed Graphic repair manual at http://www.datelinelondon.de/files.php. Its the 2.05mb pdf Graflex Speed Graphic Repair listing. Other useful info there also.

Former owner seems to have sorted it out, for he had packed the lenses in pairs....
