If you carry the camera in a bag suspended from you body, as opposed to one attached to the bike frame, it shouldn't much matter what conveyance you use to get to your location. I have a nice messenger bag (actually originally made for a laptop) that lets me carry my Annie Speed, two spare lenses on boards, dark cloth, changing bag, a couple boxes of film, and up to sixteen film holders. The bag isn't padded, so won't protect against drops, but my body will absorb a lot of vibration from a motorcycle before it gets anywhere near the camera.
However, I can tell you from recent experience that it doesn't take much of a bump to knock the Kalart RF out of adjustment... _________________ Is thirty-five years too long to wait for your first Speed? |

Thanks for the help. Do you think I can tie the Speed over my neck like a 120 or a 35mm and live? My wife told me that is why the photographer had some one to carry the cameria. I did not ask her the next thing so I live to take more pictures. Thanks |

I don't think I'd like to try carrying my Speed on a neck strap the way I do, say, my Super Ikonta B. For one thing, it weighs about five times as much, not to mention being bigger than Flava-Flav's pendant "watch"... You might get away with carrying it on a shoulder strap, however; if I were going to try that, I'd get a strap made up to replace the original hand strap (and use the original bracket and latch), with a hand strap *and* shoulder strap -- that way, you could still hold the camera with a hand through the strap, without even taking the longer strap off your shoulder. I'd make the shoulder strap from nylon webbing, I think; I'd trust that a lot more than leather with the weight of the camera on it, and you can get slip-on pads that will keep the strap from cutting into your upper deltoid.
Put the camera under your left arm, messenger bag under your right, and you're all set to pull out film holders and stash them away again, while being able to move right along (though I wouldn't recommend trying to actually *run* with this setup). When actually on your Hog, however, I'd suggest putting the camera into the messenger bag -- less likely to cause trouble if you have only a single dangling object to keep track of... _________________ Is thirty-five years too long to wait for your first Speed? |

I use a large soft briefcase to carry my Super, flash, two extra lenses, 3 or 4 Grafmatics plus a host of accessories.
I also carry the Super around my neck just like any 35mm. It's not much heavier than my Mamiya C330 after all
The big trick is to get a wide strap and have the camera at a good working length for your body. When my neck does tire a bit, I can easily support the weight of the camera with my arm. For walk-arounds, I also use a fanny pack to carry a second (sometimes third) lens and 3 Grafmatics in the large pocket. I've carried it for miles at a time this way. _________________ ----------------------------------------

Then strap to the seat or place in a saddle bag. _________________ The best camera ever made is the one that YOU enjoy using and produces the image quality that satifies YOU. |

I suspect they used something a bit stronger, like Jack Daniels. |

Ben-Gay was around before the Pacemaker Graphics were introduced, IceyHot came along later!

I'm not sure that I would carry a Graphic around my neck, but a large padded strap might do it. What I'm looking at is the TAMRAC model 5547 backpack. I tried my CG with the roll back on inside the model 5242-it fit, but not a lot of room for anything else. |

Nah, they just retired when it hurt too much to carry them. _________________ The best camera ever made is the one that YOU enjoy using and produces the image quality that satifies YOU. |
