Hi All,
I think I know the answer but I'll ask anyway. I have a 2x3 Graflex camera with a 101mm lens. Is it possible to use two lenses of different focal lengths? I know there is no cam but you can use distance scales and adjust the focus some how or must I simply use the GG for additional lenses. Thanks in advance |

The old Gralfex handbooks suggest using the "safe-set" method for hand holding with a suplimentary lens. Otherwise, yes, you could use scale focusing or the GG. Nice to have a second set of infinity stops for havingthe second lens set square when runout, and set for use with the second scale. I have seen graphics set up with up to four scales and pairs of stops. But for landscape stuff I only use GG for everything anyway, but like to have a scale for my primary lens for setting up in the dark. Takes the guess work out of the equassion.
If you need info on the safeset method for a second lens, I'll have to post it later...

If you've got scales for both lenses, and one lens set up for the Kalart, you can use the range finder to set the primary distance scale, then manually transfer that distance to the secondary lens scale. It's not much different than using an uncoupled rangefinder. |
