I just got a speed graphic pacemaker 4x5 with a 162mm f/4.7 Graflex Optar lens and a Kalart Syncronized range finder.
Anyways the infinity stops and the rangefinder aren't calibrated to the lens. I reset the infinity stops and it focuses fine now with the ground glass, but the rangefinder isnt even close.
So i followed the directions on this website but the screw you loosen for the 15-25ft distances is all stripped, I was able to loosen it a bit but I can't tighten it at all.
does anyone know how I can fix it?
thanks,

Hello
Be carefull this screw is in an opposite rotation !
(Check it carefully if we speake about the same one )
You must turn to the right for unscrew.
Hope that help you.
Regards
Laurent

Trevor,
You might want to get a replacement for the stripped screw. Try Fred Lustig; 4790 Caughlin Pkwy., #433; Reno, NV 89509; (775)746-0111.
He has an inventory of Graphic parts and does some service work on Graflex cameras.

ok fixed it, this is how i did it if anyone is curious....
I removed the kalart rangefinder (big screw in middle) and the loosen screw is just an small upside down bolt with a machined flat screw which is accessable from the top. So from the bottem you can re-tighten (or loosen) the screw with a wrench or needle nose pliers.
does that make any sense?
cheers,
