				| Greeetings,
How does a shutter solenoid mount on a Miniature Speed Graphic?

My New MSG has a Kodak Ektar 107 mm f/3.7 lens in a Kodak No. 2 Supermatic shutter (non-sync).

There was a little metal bracket under rise locking screw of the front standard (right side as seen by the phtographer) with two little posts with rivet-like heads. Was that perhaps something used for the solenoid?

 You can see it here:

 Thanks for any help.

				| There were a couple of different release mounts, I believe this one is called the R-1. There is another that has the solenoid at a 45 degree angle. It will fit smaller shutters, but because you got the granddaddy of lenses on yours, it takes the larger shutter and "horizontal mount" release.

				| Hi, Les,
 Thanks for your input.

The shutter release on my shutter is at about 10:30 o'clock, so I would expect I would need the 45° pull kind. I have seen it in the Minnie manual:

 See p. 6.

 Thanks again.

 Best regards,

 Doug

				| My Solenoid repair manual shows a mount for the Century or 2 1/4 Graphic with the solenoid horizontal, covering up the camera nameplate, aimed to the left of the lens (viewed from the front of the camera). Really weird duck! I think that was the last such mount available for these cameras. | |

				| Hi, Alec,
Yes, I had seen that just yesterday. Thanks so much.

My friend Will Thompson has a 2x3 that had just the bracket for that rig on it, but we weren't sure exactly what the rest looked like.

 Thanks again.

 Best regards,

 Doug
