Hello

I have a minor problem on my Pacemaker Crown Graphic (with Top RF) and need help

The rangefinder coupling is normally disengaged when the extension of the bellows is important but it doesn't re-engage himself when the front standard is moved backwards ; the finger is loose on its shaft and the bracket pass over. I must engage it myself.
It's not a big problem but I fear that the finger breaks one day. Is it possible ? Can I repair it? It is better nothing to touch ?

Thanks for help.

I already spoke about this problem with Dan Fromm on french forum. Hello Dan.

THERE IS SUPPOSED TO BE A HARD RUBBER CAP OVER THE END OF THE TUBE, IT HOLDS THE PLUNGER STRAIGHT! IF IT IS MISSING OR WORN, IT WILL NOT GUIDE THE PLUNGER CORRECTLY! IF THE CAP IS THERE, SECURE IT IN PLACE WITH A DROP OF SILICONE GLUE...IF THE GUIDE HOLE IS DEFORMED, SOMETIMES DRILLING THE HOLE A BIT LARGER AND WRAPPING A PIECE OF PAPER AROUND THE SHAFT, INSERTING AND GLUEING IT INTO THE CAP WILL SUPPORT THE SHAFT CORRECTLY!
>LAY THE CAMERA ON IT'S BACK SO AS NOT TO LOOSE THE SPACERS!<
HAVE A NICE DAY.....BERT

Yes the cap is here and it doesn't move but the plunger move in the cap ; thus the guide hole is deformed.
"DRILLING THE HOLE A BIT LARGER AND WRAPPING A PIECE OF PAPER AROUND THE SHAFT, INSERTING AND GLUEING IT INTO THE CAP WILL SUPPORT THE SHAFT CORRECTLY"
I am not sure to make that successfully. Before removing the cap and plunger, it is necessary to remove the lens cam and to loose the plunger tube cap. Exact ?

IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO REMOVE THE CAM, ALMOST ALL OF THE PRESSURE ON THE SPACERS IS RELEASED WHEN THE END OF THE PLUNGER IS
AWAY FROM THE PLATE MOUNTED ON THE YOKE! IF YOU DONT BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN DRILL AND INSERT THE PAPER WRAP.....FIND A DRILL THE SAME SIZE AS THE PLUNGER, RUB CAR WAX ON THE SHAFT END OF THE DRILL BIT, LET IT DRY...INSERT IT INTO THE HOLE (CENTERED AND STRAIGHT UP), AND FORCE BONDO (AUTOMOBILE DENT FILLER) INTO THE HOLE! AS THE BONDO SETS UP, ROTATE THE DRILL BIT TO MAKE SURE IT DOES NOT GLUE ITSELF PERMANENTLY TO THE BIT...THIS SHOULD RE-INFORCE IT FOR A WHILE, YOU MAY HAVE TO REPEAT THIS PROCEEDURE AFTER USING THE CAMERA FOR A WHILE, AS THE BONDO WILL EVENTUALLY WEAR OUT! BONDO IS SANDABLE, SO IT CAN BE SMOOTHED UP WITH SANDPAPER AS NEEDED!
HAVE A NICE DAY.......BERT
