OK, another RB question. I have an RB-67 Pro SD, and the lenses are supposed to have an adapter ring for use with this body. Not all my lenses have the ring, but I cannot see what difference it makes. The ring appears to help center the lens in the mount, or perhaps the ring provides some kind of seal between the rear of the lens and the mirror box.

Mamiya seems keen on having the ring in place, but as I said it does not seem to make any difference. Does anyone know anything more about the adapter rings?
