Hi,
I have recently acquired a Pacemaker Speed Graphic. A few weeks ago I posted a question regarding problems I'm having with using a cable release on the 127mm Ektar lens and shutter. Since I wasn't able to figure out why the cable release wasn't working properly on the lens shutter, I just started using the shutter release that is on the body since that can also take a standard cable release.
Today while photographing the body shutter release began sticking in the IN position after the shutter has been tripped. For whatever reason the spring which is supposed to return the body release to its normal position now does not have enough force to push it back out. I am able to push the body release back out with my finger however.
As it stands right now the body release is now un-usable for B shutter releases.
So I'm curious if anyone has any suggestions on what I can do to get the body shutter release functioning properly again. I should also mentioned that I recently removed the side mounted Kalart rangefinder from my speed graphic. I've checked the pushrod, cable and U spring at the body release and nothing seems bent or out of whack.
Thanks in advance, Derek |
