Can anyone tell me if there is a compatable Reflex Viewer or viewer that can be fixed or hand held over the GG on a Crown to flip the image?

I've been told that the reflex viewer from a Polaroid Copy stand will work, but can't vouch for it.

I used a Sinar reflex viewer for a while in college and I realized they were no where near as good as you might think they are. There's a lot of light loss with an air spaced mirror system and unless you've got a bright image I found it easier to use the ground glass.

After a while you don't realize the image is up side down.

				Syd,

Have never seen one made by F&S, but all you need is a mirror to make the image upright...still reversed however (lft to rt)

Could be made to replace the pop-up hood!

Most other brands of the universal Graflok backs are made diff than the original F&S, so most all reflex hoods you find, will not fit Graphics without modification!

Thanks gents!

I have knowledge of another guy happily using a slightly converted MP4 unit from a Polaroid copy stand and I have found one locally myself so it looks like it will indeed work and work nicely too!

I shall post back here with my results and some pics when all is completed as I get the feeling others might benefit from the info also.

Best, Simon.

Oh ... by all means please check out my new post/question in Lens help regards the Angulon f6.8! |

Ok then, I just got my MP4 Polaroid Reflex Viewer from a Land Camera today and with a little filing of the pins have managed to forge myself a perfect reflex viewer for my Crown Graphic! It shows a mirror image but the right way around and is exceptionally clear and bright! I found myself a near new unit and it works an absolute treat. For those who want something like this the MP4 conversion is cheap and simple.

Thanks, Simon. |
