				According to  Graphic.org Ektar lens page the Ektar is 1947.

Does anyone know how to date the optar?  I bought that seperately.  It's in a graphex shutter.  If the shutter has any numbers on it, I don't see them

That's the only place Gandolf gets the dates.
 
 
I don't think anyone has dates for Optars by serial number.  Type of flash sync and type of connector will era date the shutter.  No sync=flash power days; bi-post M (flashbulb) only '30's or '40's; X and M bipost '50's?; x only pc socket '60's or early '70's.  Others may smooth out my rough guestimates.
