I picked up this little point and shoot camera. Put batteries in it and everything works except the flash. The printing under the shutter button says step under that it says shutter and beneath the word shutter it says flash. When I slide the flash button over the flash pops up but it does not flash when the shutter release is tripped. To see a picture of this M35 autofocus http://www.hallfamilygen.com/m35.html

It looks like an honestly-made little camera, and it might be a decent picture-taker. Sometimes the exposure automation will prevent the flash from firing if the photocell is receiving enough light to make an exposure with ambient light. You might see whether the flash goes off in a dark room.
