Gentleman,

I've posted a few times before and am very pleased with the generosity and knowledge that this board so graciously provides. as some of you may remember i have a 1953 pacemaker speed graphic that i was given as a gift. it was a little tired and the front leaf shutter needed some help. i was advised to give it a "cla" (clean, lube and adjust). being very new to this game i was unsure as to how to properly operate on this vintage beauty. as luck has it, i ran into a gentleman at work who currently fixes microscopes. his name is Lorenz Lochner. he told me that he had worked in the leica factory in germany. (4 yrs in the school for optical eng., 4 yrs in photo dept, 4yrs in engineering prototype division, and 4yrs in precision measurement instrumentation dept.) he took one look at my pacemaker and said "i've fixed lots of these"! ok so now i'm really smiling. he took the pacemaker home, cleaned and repaired the whole thing, and returned it to me the next day! amazing guy with a ton of experience. he also had his own business fixing cameras. anyway i was so pleased and told him about this website and that there might be some interest in his talent. he gave me permission to post his e-mail here for anyone who may need an expert to help them out. the e-mail is sciencetek-lochner@msn.com. truely a nice old german gentleman!
