Hi. I just bought a Pacemaker Crown Graphic 45 and am wondering if the six-septum grafmatic backs are still available for purchase anywhere other than having to wait for somebody to decide they have gear they don't need anymore. This question's no doubt been asked before but situations do change. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,
Have you looked at the "used photo site" listing which is accessible from the Graflex.Org home page? There are several retailers there, including Midwest Photo and Pacific Rim Camera, that carry used Graphic gear. I know that they both have items that may not be on their websites.
You can also try:

Tom Doane is a great guy who I know has had several grafmatics in excellent condition in the past and he is a pleasure to do business with.
Hope this helps.

One of the benefits of buying from a brick and mortar place in you get the help of the expertese.

The 4x5 Grafmatic was made in two versions, one for the Graflok (and Graphic/spring back) and another for the Graflex back.

The one you want will say "Graphic 45" on the back. The other one says "Graflex 45" It's in small type, so you have to know what to look for when bidding on something, and it's to the sellers advantage to play dumb.

This is one time when calling a store is a big benefit.
