Hello all.....I'm probably your newest member and I thought I'd briefly introduce myself...my name is Marlene. I've been a photographer all my life (I just turned 50) and I've just about done it all. I think I've used almost every camera made (my dad was a photographer) and shot almost every imaginable type of picture. Currently, for a living, I photograph Jeeps but my real love is Photo/Art. I love my film cameras and my digital for different reasons. I haven't owned a Crown in 20 years and just re-entered the field camera market. My interest in the Crown is now much different than it was years ago since now I shoot for the polaroids instead of using the polaroids for help in exposure, lighting and composition.....in other words.....the polaroids are now the main attraction.
So I bought a Crown on Ebay in absolutely beautiful cosmetic condition.....really.....looks brand new. The only problems I've encountered so far was a RF that didn't work (I was able to fix myself) and the usual sticky shutter at speeds below 1/5.
So that's it for now. From now on you'll find out what other problems I encounter and I bet I'll get the needed help from this great forum.
Thanks to all for all the past comments I've read, I believe I'm in great company.

Welcome! Congrats on the Crown! And thank goodness someone else likes Polaroids... I know that many people use Polaroids, but I sometimes feel a bit alone in my liking of the process and results. My favorite is type 55 for the negative, but I also shoot the other types as well.
Do you also shoot 8x10 Polaroid? I also have an 8x10 B&J and first thing I did was make sure I could do Polaroids with that also. I haven't found anyone yet who actively does 8x10 Polaroid...
You have the obvious advantage of being a photographer as some other folks here. That's something few people would call me But it has been my top hobby for 40 years or so (I started young ) and I'm getting more and more back into it since coming to LF...
If you ever do need any Graphic help, this is deffinitely the place to be. Greatest collection of folks I've ever run into!
