I just purchased this lens serial #D90118 to use on my Super Graphic. It is in an Alphax syncromatic shutter. I would like to mount some 67mm filters that I have to this lens. Does anyone know what the filter ring size is? I used my dial calipers and got a reading of 2.468" at the barrel just where the screw threads for the filter start. I think that this works out to 62mm. How about a suggestion for a place to purchase the right size adapter ring? Also I am looking for something better than an 8x loupe for focusing at the ground glass. Are there any inexpensive solutions for this, are do I need a view camera loupe, which seem to cost about $100.

Thanks, Craig

a 10x loupe is difficult to use on a ground glass and impossible to use with a fresnel screen in the way. You end up magnifing the grain of the glass or the ridges of the lens and the images gets lost. That said I think this fits the bill, but isn't long enough to stand proud of the Graphic ground glass cover. The expensive camera loupes are usually around 3-8x

Toyo makes a 3.6x loupe, available from B&H Photo, for $39.95. It's a high quality item and I've had good results with it on my Century.

Thanks for the advice on the focusing loupes. I found an old 62mm filter ring and tried it on the Wollensak, and it was too small to meet the threads. I must of mismeasured with my dial caliper. I think that the thread size must be closer to 64/65mm. Anyone know for sure. It's hard to find a camera dealer that carries adapters in my area, and I may have to try ordering something by mail.

Thanks, Craig
