I'm brand new to Speed Graphic cameras but recently acquired what I think is an Anniversary model. Its serial number is 346031 and is an "all black" model. I believe the Anniversary models were produced between 1940 and 1947 but would love to have a more definitive date of it's production. It has an Ilex #3 Acme Syncro shutter with a black face and an Ilex Paragon Anastigmat f:4.5 5 1/2 inch lens serial # 571. Interested in the date of manufacture of these components also. I've researched as much as I could but am hitting a brick wall. Any help will really be appreciated.
Best regards to all. |

"Definitive dates" don't exist because Graflex recorded serial numbers in batches before they built the cameras. Yours is in the tail end of 2500 cameras entered 1/30/45, so "1945" would be a safe bet. I have no information on Ilex. |

Gandolf,
Thank you for the information. It certainly adds another sentence in the story of this venerable camera.
Best regards |
