The body release on my newly acquired 4x5 Pacemaker Speed won't release the focal plane shutter. This is true whether using a cable release screwed into it, or just pressing the release by hand. I've switched the toggle on the side to "back", wound the shutter up, but it won't go. It does trip the front shutter, but I had to loosen the screw and move the little lever that touches the lens shutter release down a little. The FP shutter does trip by pressing the lever up to "trip", but this doesn't seem like a good way to use the rear shutter (too much camera shake, etc). I'd be game to try fixing this myself... any ideas about how to go about it? Is it possible? I do have some barrel lenses, so I'd really like to get it working!
Thanks very much for any input!

Odds are someone has had the shutter mechanism apart and not reinstalled the covers correctly. The one that controls the lever also controls the tension, indicator gearing, and houses the govenor. I have the related instruction pages in jpeg fromat compressed into 4 self extracting zip files of approximately 1.3mb. I am putting my email address in a private message, so if you're instered I will send them.
Charles
