I have a bad body with a good shutter and a good body with the shutter mechanism removed,
I am looking for a heads up on what I might expect in terms of tiny little springs flying by my ears when i attempt to swap the shutter into the new body.

thanks

Kim

OK i went ahead and did this...pretty straightforward really. I have two questions if anyone can answer.

1. The main spring onwound of course when I removed the tensioner. Any idea on how many winds I should prewind it at shutter O?
I believe that it unwound 4 revolutions, but that is an estimate.

2. The tensioner and the shutter panels both apparently had some original goop on the back. Any suggestions for replacing the goop? I was thinking something like silicone sealer or some such.

thanks
