Did all super's have "Super Speed Graphic" on the top of the bed when closed and on the top of the front standard or was it only on the ones that shipped with the 1/1000 shutter lens?

Well the "Speed Graphic" got its name from the 1/1000 second focal plane shutter.
the Super Graphic with the 1/1000 rodenstock iris shutter became a Super Speed Graphic.
A Crown Graphic with a 1/1000 rodenstock iris shutter became the "model 1000" Graphic and (for a short time) the Speed Graphic was called the "model FP"
Now Graflex,General Precision, Singer, et al have enough history of bending the rules that I would believe cameras with "Super Graphic" on the front left Rochester with a Rodenstock shutter inside, But the theory is "Super Graphic" =normal shutter , "Super Speed Graphic" =rodenstock shutter.

My Super Graphic only has "Super Graphic" on the bed when closed. Have no idea what lens was shiped with this one, but would suspect it was not a 1/1000sec shutter lens. |
