I'm in he process of cleaning up and repairing an anniversary Speed Graphic, probably a war era camera with brass parts that are blackened. My assumption was that this was a civilian model owing to the lack of any sort of identifying plate or military nomenclature. However, an unusual mark on the inside drop bed makes me wonder... at first I had thought someone had drawn on a rough square in Sharpie marker. I used some PEC 12 thinking the pen markings would come right off, but instead it has taken off a layer or dirt, grime, and/or another layer of paint so that I can see the marking is a red/orance printed square containing the following:

SC
1112
A

The number embosed into the top inside of the body is 307377. Anyone know if I have something interesting here, or was the mark a standard stamp given in place of a plate to sane materials? Lemme know folks! Thanks.

wouldn't be able to send a picture of the camera as it's in too many pieces right now... looks like somebody painted the bellows and almost every surface, so the bellows would not open. I do not have a digial camera, so it will be a little while before I can take a picture of the marking. I need to be careful with my cleaning so as not to take the marking off. It was unexpected though, it appears either stamped or painted onto the textured paint, is is off kilter so that it looks like it was applied as an afterthought. For all I know it may even be a decal. Will try and take a picture soon.
