I have a Kodak Super Matic shutter with a Kodak Ektar f4.5 101mm lens that appears to have a couple of shutter leafs that are moving slower than the rest resulting in a blurred image on one side of the negative.

I have owned this lens for 27 years and the lens has always worked perfect until this problem. The lens is great shape and all functions are normal and ther are no other apparent defects of any kind.

Does anyone know of a person or business that can service this shutter? An email address or phone number would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Steve Ripper

Now for another testimonial about Steve Grimes:

I bought a Crown Graphic that had been fitted with a Rodenstock 135mm lens in a Compur shutter. It looked like a great lens, but there were things RATTLING around in there, and the shutter would only cock and fire if the planets were in alignment.

I called Mr. Grimes and he said to ship it off to him. I did so, and my lens was back in my hands less than TWO WEEKS later, and in perfect working order. The cost shocked me so much I don't even want to mention it, but suffice it to say it was incredibly reasonable, considering what I expected to have to pay.
