Hello Don,
I got a modern Series VI adapter and lens shade from Harrison & Harrison in Porterville, CA. These guys are great. They've been making this kind of stuff since the golden age of Hollywood and they're pros, but they take the time to listen to the little guy, as well. I highly recommend them.
The usual disclaimer applies: I have no connection to H&H.
Dan

Anyone know where I can get a step up ring that attaches to the series VI filter adapter? I need to attach a polarizer to my Ektar 127mm. Thought I had the problem solved when I got a 46-55mm step-up, but turns out 46mm is a hair too large! Other options? Help.

Series VI thread is 44mm. I use a 44-49 step-ring for filters on the Century Graphic. The 49mm filters allow easier access to the settings on the front of the shutter than 52 or 55 mm filters. I have acquired plenty of Series VI stuff---slip-rings, step-rings, filters, shades---at area camera shows and the used ("junk") drawer at a local photo store, so I no longer have to use the step-ring setup. You might also try Robert Pins in NJ ( http://www.rgpins.com/ ) as a possible source for the Series VI items; his website is minimal so call him for stock info.
