Help needed for identifying the culprit.

2x3 Speed graphic with spring back, 3 different Graflex wooden type 5 holders, to be honest there are of varying levels of flatness. one really dead flat the others less, yet the leak seem to be more dependent on length of exposure or perhaps the length of time the dark slide was off. also tried with Grafmatic really well pressed and taped all around to eliminate any doubt regarding the light leaking from the contact surface with the back, and the result is similar.
what confuses me is that the light shows under the frames, suggesting it is the felt seal in the holders. while with the Grafmatic the fog is more obvious on the far end where the septum's notch is, which is not really affected by the felt seals...
basically, looking for some expertise and opinions. bellows are ok. I found light entering where the bellows meet the body, taped that and there is no difference... so it wasn't that...

FILM HOLDER EXAMPLE:

Note that the biggest effect is on the flap side, further from where the darkslide seal is.

Excuse the scratches... hurriedly cut film in a dark bag...

Did you by chance take your film through airport security? Their scanners have become more powerful in recent years, to the point where Ilford is warning people to request hand inspection. I recently experienced a light overall fogging from this source.

No William, I didn't go through airport security with this film, although I can't guarantee the film is definitely good. it is shop bought and completely new Fomapan 400.
Thanks.

For future visitors, I wanted to write here that I manage to solve the light leak issue. or at least it is under control now. I removed the spring back ( held by 2 screws ) and spray painted in black matte the metal plate, it showed quite a bit of bare metal and I suspected that this might reflect light to the film surface if the texture is uneven.
Anyway so far so good. look better. here is a scan from today:
