It would help if we knew exactly which one of the many Graflex/Graphic cameras you refer to!
If it's a Graphic or Speed Graphic, most of them open by depressing a button concealed under the leather/ette covering on top of the camera box. Feel along the top (front side), in about 1/2" from the edge. Keep pushing down until the "front door" springs open. Caution! When you close the camera, make VERY SURE that the front standard (the part that travels in and out) is ALL THE WAY BACK IN THE BOX before you close it. If you don't, you'll bend the rails at the hinge gap, which you definitely do not want to do! (Ask me how I know.)
Since you're evidently unfamiliar with these cameras, don't hesitate to ask here because there are many knowledgeable people on the board who can answer your questions.
Finally, your query would have better been placed in the Speed Graphic forum of the main Help page, where it will attract more viewers. |

Hi there, I'm a newbie too. I'm myself from 847 area code https://areacodes.net/847, Illinois and I bought this camera recently too. Much obliged for your explanations on this thread. They are very helpful. |
